What is the IAPWA Educator Programme?

IAPWA are currently recruiting Educator volunteers to speak about our work in their local communities. In this role, volunteers will play a vital role in IAPWA’s work.

The role will be supervised by our Fundraising Coordinator who is on hand to offer support and guidance. As an IAPWA Educator, any ideas for local involvement can be discussed with the Fundraising Coordinator, and full training and resources will be provided.

You will play an important part in your local community, highlighting IAPWA’s critical work. We hope you’ll be able to put your creative stamp on it as well as gain valuable experience.

Exciting tasks can include:

Educational Talks

Delivering talks to local community groups, schools and faith groups about the work of the charity and the ways in which they could help us achieve our goals.

Presentations

Attending cheque presentations on behalf of the charity to thank people and say a few words about how the money raised could be used to support our work.

Brand Awareness

Signposting people to our website, social media and fundraising team.

Charity Engagement

Raising awareness of the charity and our work through talking to friends, family and on social media.

Ideally, your skills will include:

Confident speaker with excellent communication skills
Excellent organisational skills
Reliable and professional demeanour
Personable and friendly manner
Flexible & work independently on your own initiative
A love for animals & passion for IAPWA's work
A creative self-starter and independent worker
Familiar with IT applications

Induction, Learning and Development

To enable you to take part in this opportunity, IAPWA will:

Put you in contact with our Fundraising Coordinator

Provide you with an IAPWA Educator Handbook containing guidance and information

Provide extensive inductions and training material
