Support Programmes - IAPWA

As well as carrying out our own work, we support other organisations too!

As well as developing our core projects and campaigns, we are also passionate about working with and supporting other charities, where together we can make a bigger difference for animals in need. Through this programme we have provided funding and/or advisory support to other organisations to help them with the valuable work they do.

Dog Meat Trade

Our support to end the Dog Meat Trade is currently focused within the Philippines and was launched in September 2017 alongside our partner AKF.

Claws Out

The Claws Out campaign aims to end the exploitation of captive lions in South Africa.

Greece

Each year, hundreds of dogs are abandoned on the island of Aegina, Greece, and this programme aims to change that.

Street Vet

Our support of the Street Vet programme began on World Homeless Day in 2017. This project provides a veterinary service for dogs of the homeless in the UK.

Elephants

At the Elephant Orphanage, a lifeline is provided for defenceless abandoned elephant calves, often the tragic victims of poaching and human conflict.

Rabies Control

Through two local partners in Tanzania, we were invited to become their World Rabies Day Ambassadors and are proud to have supported three rabies control campaigns to date in this region.
